Blogging from a New Home

March 6th, 2009
And the home is this site! Yes I've finally gotten some work done on the main Freedom of Sketch site and now the blog is fully up and running. Not only am I now writing on that site, but my good friend and motion fiend Michael Hyneman is posting on there as well. We decided that instead of posting seperately to combine our design powers into one awesome meatball. A meatball of pure design, if you will.

So go and check out what's happening there. So far we've both been able to keep our posts to a higher count so there's plenty of stuff to read.

Stay high and stay dry.

Small changes

January 11th, 2009
Well I hope the new year finds everyone well. Things are going decent along my own lines. My full-time work has increased, which is good. It seemed like things had been going slow at no fault of our own at PKD. For some reason, be it that the holidays made everyone lazy or the failing economy forcing people to think about other concerns, clients just stopped talking to us. Almost fully paid websites sat there just waiting for the okay to be given and small changes that should have been done in a day sat for weeks until we could discuss them.

However, in the past week almost everything has gone forward and cleaned up. And that was a great relief. Money came in and people seemed to have a new found motivation to get what they paid for. Imagine that.

Someone with an acute eye will notice some changes to the jkoromi site. After a quick ctrl+u and a look at the html provided, they'll find something even more changed: not a single table in sight (site). My website now–at least code wise–holds up to the standards of the W3C. Something I've been meaning to do for a while since I wrapped my head around this CSS thing. No tables is a very nice thing.

So take care all. I'll soon be updating my blog so keep and eye out for that.

New News... In opposed to old news I guess.

October 26th, 2008
Small changes to the site are taking place. First and foremost you'll notice that some pages are missing. I'm keeping these hidden for the time being to be linked to only when necessary. That's all I'm gonna say about that. Second I've added a link to my blog and an FAQ I'm currently working on. I've been getting some questions about things and it'd be great to have something to direct people to so I'm not taking time to type out the same things over and over.

As is probably evident, I'm concentrating more on my illustration than anything else. When freelancing, this work's been giving me the most satisfaction. Not to say I'm unhappy with my design, but if I'm going to take on extra work from my payload at PKD, I might as well be doing something I enjoy greatly. I love designing just as much, but I'd like to keep my best work at my full-time and pull out my favored illustartions for private clients.

If your curious about more Jeff info, head over to my blog (no linky this time... go try the menu item at the left, lazy).
