AronJanscoI’m not usually someone who likes to do small posts or linkcycling from other sites, but this is worth seeing.

Aron Jancso is a Hungarian student and designer that produces typography that melds Modernism and Graffiti together. Becuase those are two of my favorite things, I say go and look at his work either on his Flickr photostream or his Behance portfolio.

It’s funny, but I can see his work fitting well both on the street or on a poster. You could really classify it as a modern form of Modernism (horrible coined phrase aside). The designs are well thought out compositionally but also have enough play to make them rough.

Lately I’ve been seeing much more street art work along these kinds of lines, where Modernism and graffiti seem to intersect. Hopefully we’ll see a lot more of this trend.

Had not heard of Behance before, but it’s a step up from many other similar portfolio sites as well. I’ll have to sift around that site a little more as well. [via TypeGoodness]
