Dead Zone

Here is a post on a quick little piece of Motion I just came upon. The piece is by Giles Timms and called “Dead All Along”. The story is about a boy who enters a magical world only to return to his own world in peril and destruction. The bottom line is it is just a beautiful piece made through the studios at UCLA and just a great use of illustrations and animation backed with a nice real song Ceri Frost. The hand drawn style reminds me of Charles Addams and Tim Burton’s work (back when he was good… yeah I went there).
The entire thing is done via After Effects and it is pulled off quite well. Makes me jealous and hopefully will help kick my lazy ass into inspiration again.
