Ever Have That Feeling That There is a Better Way to Do Something?

Yeah, that’s the feeling I had with grid systems in Illustrator. Where InDesign is set up from the start to plug in columns, gutters, and all that griddy goodness, Illustrator has always been an exercise for in in breaking out my calculator and pumping pica numbers into it. There had to be a better way… and there was. Finally fed up I consulted the Oracle Google and found this.

Yes, it’s been that easy this whole time (for about 4 years) and I never knew about it. Nothing makes you feel like an idiot like doing something the hard way for years when such a simple solution is right in front of you.

Added to this simple inches to pica conversion site and I don’t think I’ll have any more problems with math (which is a very weak suit of mine).
